Story;
As a little filly, Canvas was shy and quiet. She was really no different than other ponies, but always felt she stuck out and she couldn't stand feeling like the center of attention. On top of that, whenever she played with others, her white coat would get so dirty and it was so noticable, she would get embarassed, so she stayed inside and hid herself away.
One day, some of her classmates were fighting over a the last piece of white construction paper. She hated it when ponies fought over silly things! Despite her attempts to ignore the bickering, it made her too uneasy and she decided to butt in and offer a solution somehow. She found that not only were the fillies fighting over the paper, but the drawing ON the paper, complaining that their drawing was dumb and flat and they weren't that good. As they fought, the paper ripped and fluttered down onto Canvas and splashed paint onto her body.
The fillies looked at eachother and then back at Canvas, who was trying to wipe the the paint off, only smearing it onto her coat more. They giggled and complimented that she looked like a coloring book. That's when Canvas had a grand idea! She let the other fillies color her in, add wings, draw scars, whatever they wanted! She even acted out characters for them as they drew. At the end of their playtime, they helped wash off her coat, but some of the paint wouldn't wash off her flank. It was her Cutie Mark!

Since that day, Canvas offers ponies a chance to draw and color on her. She has found that even the worst and best artists can find happiness through their art, whether it be on a canvas, or another pony, no matter what it is. She encourages them to express themselves, regardless of what others think, and she will spend all day with their works on her body, flaunting their talent (as well as her own!) and defending their right to express themselves.

I wanted to try, and to be honest, I'm very proud of her! She's everything I feel the club stands for, excepting everything and anyone in a friendly environment.

I may not agree with 100% of the terms of most OC ponies I see around, but I do know that everyone has a right to express themselves through art (as long as they aren't tracing and being dishonest with themselves and others this way). While I frequently facepalm and shake my head at badly developed characters, I know people have a right to have a place where everyone can view their work and get some nice critiques and not be surrounded by actual hate and bullying, which I would never condone anyway (no matter how bad or good your art is, NO ONE has the right to bully anyone. Even if they're a pompus ass, being a pompus ass right back is no way to solve a problem)

I hope you enjoy her! She's literally the cutest thing to me, and I wish everyone else in the group luck as well!
