I found a way to make a donation page for Paypal. It accepts all kinds of cards.
You can find it to the left on my main page ((my featured Deviation))

Simba's doing alright now, at least a little better. He's acting like himself, but as usual, he hasn't gone to the bathroom and won't drink. It's been stressing us both out to the point where I couldn't eat last night and I keep waking up in the middle of the night wondering if he's still okay.
And even worse, it's hot as balls outside. Over 90 degrees Fahrenheit or something.

Anyway, against my better judgement, as I still have artwork I owe to so many, I can't have Brit doing all the work for this.
I'm going to offer some quick $5-8 traditional sketch commissions to pick up some slack.
They'll only be one character, and the price will be based on complexity. I'll even slap some digital color on for an extra $2.

They'll look something like this: fc05.deviantart.net/fs71/i/201… fc08.deviantart.net/fs71/i/201…

To those I owe art right now... I'm so sorry. You've all asked for point commissions, and I need real money. The vet won't accept virtual currency for payment. I'm still working on them, don't worry. Most of them are at least half done.

We're about 75% towards our goal to pay for tests. So close. We'll worry about the X-Rays after, since that's $230.
You can note me or comment here with your commission.
If you can't donate/commission... Please spread the word. We are so close...

Okay, so Simba seems like he's feeling a bit better.
We still want to try the vet when we get enough money for the tests, since it could be something internal and I'd like to clear those waters.
He still won't drink, but he eats tuna like a beast, so I was sneaking water in with the Tuna and he'd drink it. We only had one can last night and he finished it. Hopefully my grandmother comes over with some more cans of tuna, and my dad may as well.

He's still lethargic, but it seems to a normal "I'm a nocturnal animal" lethargic in the daytime. He's raising his head higher. He won't leave the bed and his ears heat up sometimes, turning red and all, but I'm hoping it's normal since it goes away when I give him tuna and food and he never really leaves the room in the daytime anyway.
I'm thinking of giving him Pedialyte 50/50 with water, but there are so many mixed reviews about it.

We also gave him a bath yesterday in Dawn dishsoap, since a lot of people swear by it when their cats have fleas. It's gotten rid of EVERY flea on him. Any one we find on him is already dead, so that should help him feel better.
We changed our sheets, so that should help, too. We're working on the Living Room, but vacuuming is hard without a vacuum...

Anyway, I thank every single person who's donated/commissioned us so far, especially 1863project who I talked to on Nabyn, since she's the first to donate and was very supportive.

So, we weren't able to afford all the care he needs, go figure. It would have been $500 all together with the xrays and tests they wanted to do, and they wanted it up front.
The vet didn't even give him an IV to help hydrate him, she just said to give him wet food with a little water in it.

We're looking for alternatives for getting rid of those damn fleas, hoping it's not too late or anything.
Simba was a very good boy during checkup, even with the thermometer in his butt, poor baby. He took a shit on the table after that...
At least his temp was normal.

Either way, I'm just going to hope that he doesn't get worse. If he does, there is NOTHING we can do.
I just hope he's dehydrated, since that's easier solved...

---
I never EVER though I'd be making a journal about something like this...

Simba is sick.

He came to me last night, waking me up. I didn't think much of it, because he does that, but I thought it was odd since he found a nice spot on top of our bureau that he sleeps on.
He wouldn't look at me much. His head was in one direction, and his eyes were half shut.
I woke up this morning and he was lying in the same spot. He moved a little, but not much, and he was just... Lethargic.
I woke Brit up, we both panicked, I called my dad and did some more checking. His gums are white.

We're going to take him to the vet...
They've seen him before, they know him, and when Brit called and told them his gums were white and they told her to take him in IMMEDIATELY.

It's going to cost $49 for a standard checkup.
It could either be dehydration or worse, anemia from the fleas we've been trying to treat.
Which means tests and stuff are extra, I'm not even going to guess the amount.

Since I have more than enough on my plate, I'm going to ask Brit to open up commissions to pay for this...
We have about $30 all together.
I just pray it's not worse than it sounds...

Hey, I've been away for all this, and I'm sorry to hear that you had a scare, but I'm glad he's feeling better now! I threw $20 at you -- lemme know when you reach your goal!! :D

Keep getting better, Simba!
